PADI Advanced Open Water Course
Just as the name suggests the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed to advance your diving, so you can start right after completing the PADI Open Water Diver certification. The course assists with confidence building and expanding your skills through different adventure dives. You get to try out different specialties including but not limited to deep, wreck, night diver, navigation and search and recovery while under the supervision of your PADI instructor.
There are two require core dives for the Advanced Open Water Diver - Navigation and Deep to 20 + meters. Your PADI instructor will discuss with you and your dive buddies which other three specialty electives you will under take for a total of 5 dives.
To get you started we choose for you - Night Diving at the Busselton Jetty. Scuba diving at night is great with creatures and colours coming out that you won't see during the day. We teach you to focus on what you can see in your light's beam, controlling your buoyancy by feel, staying with your buddy and paying attention to details you may overlook during the day.
During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. Including planning for extra air consumption from going deeper and the importance of doing your safety stops.
The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass skills, giving you the confidence to better navigate and teaching you to utilise your kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time. The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your interest and the adventures you have - photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks and many more.
